Classes: Vinyasa, AcroYoga and AIRial Yoga
Yoga was never a discipline Heather had considered, until her life took an unexpected turn and she found herself seeking out a grounding practice to find peace. Initially she made all of the common excuses, but by stepping out of her comfort zone and remaining diligent through her vulnerability, she came to be empowered by the capabilities of her body.
Eventually Heather reached a point in her practice where she wanted to be able to share the transformative power of yoga with others, making the conscious decision to complete her 200-hr YTT with D’ana Baptise through InBody Academy in Salt Lake City, Utah. Shortly after becoming a certified yoga instructor, she expanded her knowledge by becoming a certified SUP (stand up paddle board) yoga instructor in order to encourage others to take their practice to the water―an entirely different yoga experience she had fallen in love with after discovering her passion for paddle boarding. She has an intense love of education, and is constantly seeking to deepen both her individual practice and her teaching abilities through additional workshops, trainings, and certifications.
Heather loves to teach and practice a wide variety of yoga styles, bringing a certain level of wildness and tranquility to the practice simultaneously. She considers the most valuable facet of yoga―both on and off the mat―to be the sense of community created between practitioners, and loves making connections with her fellow Utah yogis. She identifies as an outdoors enthusiast, tattooed yogi, writer, rebel, and mother to two wild women in the making. Although, you’ll most likely recognize her around the studio due to her bright and ever-changing hair color.
